It is never seen as part of the Islamic faith to starve oneself or others.Starvation and cruelty to children happens the world over but the press doesn't mention the religion of those involved unless they are Muslim.Families have problems and mental health issues no matter what their background.I would suggest you note that the majority of child abusers are caucasians of the "Christian" faith.
