If you don't have the time or smarts to take them out singularly away from the group. Be prepared to fight dirtier than they do. Had this old fella had the knowledge and WILL to make these two young cowards see lots of their own blood for the first time (with something as simple as a key or pen) , I'm certain the others would scatter and give them time to escape and call a cop who could easily ID their wounded attackers.
