Explosion in Moscow kills nine. Or did it?
Gotta love Russian news. An accidental fireworks thing went off at a mall and killed nine people. Police however evacuated and searched the whole mall for other explosive devices. I guess those malls have hidden boxes of fireworks all over the place that can just go off at any time.
Other news sources say its gang turf wars. Russian news is notorious for lack of facts and truth. It is a good bet an explosion killed nine. that much is safe.

At least nine people were injured Saturday in an explosion occurred at a market in southern Moscow, Russian news agencies reported.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday afternoon in a street market near the Prazhskaya metro station, injured nine people, including a child, RIA Novosti cited a police source as saying.
The blast was caused by an unknown explosive device, the source said, adding that the remains of the explosive device have been already discovered.
However, a spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry said the explosion was caused by fireworks that went off accidentally.
According to a Moscow police spokesman, people have been evacuated from the market and police have inspected the market for other possible explosive devices.

Nothing to see here, move along comrade. Did you see where Putin wants government negative press stories treated as treason. So I guess nobody will say otherwise.

it’s also interesting that no major news coverage was given to the retaking of a S Ossetia town by Russia shortly after it left the position last week. Tanks rolled back in with no notice and re took the position in defiance of all terms agreed to by Russia and all parties. No wonder the US isn’t so worried about Iran. They have much bigger fish to fry.
According to Stratfor.com
Russian soldiers retook a Georgian village near the breakaway region of South Ossetia on Dec. 13 after pulling out of the village Dec. 12, Reuters reported. When the troops pulled out of the village of Perevi, Georgian police moved in, but the Russians had returned by nightfall. Pictures shown on television showed soldiers building up a check point and unloading sandbags from a truck. Cease-fire monitors from the European Union said they verified that Russian troops reoccupied the Perevi checkpoint and had sent “a considerable number of troops” to Perevi. They also said Russian troops had prevented European ambassadors from visiting the area and called on Russia to withdraw its soldiers from the checkpoint and the village
