Bonus! Report from the thick of the “We Hate Jews” rally in Toronto.

I spent yesterday on the “wrong” side of the street, betraying all I believe in to walk amongst the pro-Palestinian terror supporters of Toronto. I didn’t do this by choice, but because I was asked by an American anti-terror organization to cover it from the “inside”.

The organizers of the rally (which mostly seemed to be sponsored by Toronto Stop the War Coalition) said there were 15,000 people in attendance. The real number was closer to about 10,000. But hey, it’s kinda like when they kill Israeli civilians: A few more or less are no big deal, let’s just use round numbers!

A bewildered and somewhat unwilling child wastes his Saturday doing what his mother wants him to do.

I arrived just as the dingbat head of Ontario CUPE, Sid Ryan, took the stage to tell everyone that he isn’t anti-Semitic, but that the evil Jewish-owned media in Canada just made it sound that way. Because they’re Jooooooos. And then he had the nerve to tell everyone that because he’s Irish and because Ireland had The Troubles, he totally understands the plight of the Gazans. Uh huh. So he basically just told the city that he’s pro-IRA terror, too. Way to go, Sid Vicious. Is there anyone you don’t want to bomb?

The Communist Worker party crowd was out, standing in solidarity with the anti-Semites. Oddly, so were the queers. Here’s a useful idiot for you:

I doubt very much if they realize they would be the first to go under an Islamic regime. If Palestinians tear down their wall, that wall will land on homosexuals. That’s what happens to them in Islamic states.

Let me just say that for the most part, the rally was peaceful and extremely well monitored by its own security people. Guys with Hezbollah flags showed up and were turned away, because they didn’t want the bad press. Mind you, they missed one:

Ok, maybe two. This girl was wearing her Nasrallha/Hezbollah banner on her hijab. I asked her to take it of and show it to me. I told her she was brave for wearing it. Her response? “Who cares, this is Canada. I can do what I want!” Too bad I can’t.

While they did their best to stick to chants like “Free, free Palestine” and “Palestine will never die!”, there were a few rogues who let their true feelings come through. Groups of people yelling “Allahu Ackbar” were quickly shushed by the organizers. Well, mostly. I have video, but can’t post it at this time.

One Islamic student group however spent much of the time screaming the following chant:

Viva viva Palestina
Viva viva Intifada

And then, the women in bags arrived. People I believe to be Toronto’s First Family of Terror, the Khadrs. Of course, it’s hard to say for sure because the women were covered head-to-toe in Islamic garb(age), but the little girl looked familiar. Unfortunately they had her dressed as a prop. I’m surprised they didn’t have the poor dear in a tiny suicide vest. Here is an image of her crying, obviously upset by the noise and chaos, not to mention the argument her mother was having with the organizers. Apparently the rally wasn’t radical enough for them. That’s what I gleaned with my rudimentary Arabic.

I didn’t want to be there yesterday. I knew of the rally via Facebook, but I had no intention of being there. The one last week made my ulcer bleed, it was so ugly. This week’s, though tamer, was worse for me because I had to walk amongst the hordes. When it was over and I had run through almost 6GB of recording, I felt I needed a shower and a pork chop, which is exactly what I had.

This is a big deal! Damian Brooks will be the first Canadian blogger officially embedded with the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan! I know he’s been working on this for a while - ages, in fact - and it has finally come to fruition. He will be leaving Canada “shortly” and needs a hand to cover some of his expenses.

You see, I’m one pissed-off dude.

I’m told I’ll hurt my career if I continually spout off about Liberalism — which I see as a growing cancer in our society. Worldwide, I’ve seen Liberalism metastasize into virulent incarnations of Socialism, and, left unchecked, even into its malignant cousin, Communism. Only the arrogant or the somnambulist would think such a thing could never happen here. It’s a matter of increment. Once a group organizes into a coalition, it’s a short step to claiming the right to the property of another group. All that is necessary is for an individual’s right to personal property to become a secondary concern. The ‘needs’ of the group must supercede, dontcha know. It’s a vicious cycle – wants become needs become rights. The fact that the thievery is done at the behest of a ‘civilized’ government does not sanitize the crime.

So I’m told I should shut up. I make my living in the Hollywood community, and Hollywood is by and large run by Liberals. I’m told I need to stay quiet when the Left has their way over issues that affect my daily life. I’m told I need to learn how to get along with the Left, learn how to compromise. I need to be more open-minded. I need to be more tolerant.

I don’t want to get along with the Left. I want to take them down. I want to expose their idiocy for what it is and reveal it as a harmful, dangerous succession of lies and deceptions. My friends say that that effort, aside from being fruitless, will cost me work. It will cost me my career. And I say Wait-a-minute, Bucko. Those folks who founded this country were willing to risk not only their careers, but their property, their families, their very lives…the least I can do in standing up for our precious freedoms is risk a silly television career. Not to compare myself with the brilliant thinkers who declared themselves independent of England and framed our Constitution…but those were some pretty pissed off dudes too. Compared to that, loss of a little TV or movie work seems pretty inconsequential. So in honor of Pissed Off Americans past and present, I rant.

Bottom line to take away: I hereby declare my independence…from the small-minded, America-hating, race-bating, Christian-bashing, class-warfare-waging, politically-correct, collectivist, Liberal Hollywood establishment.

This man will never work again.

A deaf teenager has won a landmark discrimination case after she was humiliated on sports day because she could not hear announcements telling her to stop running, it has emerged.

Laura Trudgill, 13, is profoundly deaf but was not provided with an individual signer on sports day to help her understand the complicated rules of 24 team activities.

She stood when the rest of the school sat, ran when others stopped and did activities incorrectly because she could not hear the teacher telling her she was wrong.

The event was designed to forge bonds between deaf and hearing pupils but led to deep embarrassment for Laura who became an object of fun.

So the school, which went out of its way to hold an even bringing deaf and hearing students together, has been found at fault here for “humiliating” this girl.

A special education needs and disability tribunal (Sendist) found Colman Middle School, in Norwich, had unlawfully discriminated against Laura.

Laura’s mother Karen Park, 35, and dad Gary Trudgill, 50, of Norwich, fought the case with the backing of the National Deaf Children’s Society (NCDS).

Karen, a part-time volunteer for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, said: ‘Laura might as well have been lumped in with a load of Russians on sports day.

‘The effect would’ve been the same - she wouldn’t have had any idea what was going on.

No word from the Russians as to whether they will sue for discrimination at that remark.

So lemme get this straight: The school holds an inclusiveness exercise, and then is found guilty of “unlawful discrimination” - a crime, if you will. All because some deaf chick had a bad day. Puh-lease, if I sued everyone involved every time I had a bad day, I’d be Warren freakin’ Kinsella!

Used to be a time when other countries made fun of the USA for its litigiousness. Those days are soooo gone. The United States now seems to be the only country where you can’t sue for hurt feelings.

While Sid Ryan and his ilk are trying to disenfranchise Jewish professors and strip them of their careers in Canada (how long before we begin shipping them to camps?), companies are showing their support of Israel.

Starbucks and eBay are some of the major names on the list, as is Kodak. And in Canada, remember that Chapters/Indigo CEO Heather Reisman donates a lot of money to the Lone Soldier program, Heseg (Hebrew).

I got very bad frostbite yesterday, and lost my voice, but the cause was well worth it.

The typical terrorists - Che Marxist, Palestinian Hamas supporters and Hezbollah murderers - marched by the thousands to decry Israel’s defense of its civilians.

On our side of the street, maybe 150 people. It was Shabbas, the Jewish day of rest. There were as many WASPs and Catholics as there were Jews braving the cold in defense of Israel. There were also the Hindus, still reeling from the horrific attacks in Mumbai at the end of November.

Between us, a thin line of bike cops.

Dundas Square was brimming with hatred the likes of which my non-city readers will never have seen before, unless they’ve been in the military. A nicely placed IDF mortar would have been useful, but then again, there were too many women and children. Israel never would have risked it.

I lost my voice screaming Infidels for Israel and God Bless the IDF. Two teenage girls who had just come to Canada from Israel stood in front of me, on the brink of tears when they saw the Hezbollah flag flying in the streets of a country where Hezbollah is ostensibly an illegal terrorist organization. I hugged them. I wanted to apologize for what they were seeing. They kept asking me “Why? Why are they doing this?” and I couldn’t answer.

I don’t know why.

The Jewish Defense League is hosting a counter-rally tomorrow at Yonge & Dundas Square. Meet at 1:30 pm at the Southwest Corner of Dundas & Yonge, in front of the Eaton Centre. I will be there.

In other Israeli-offensive news, this is an excellent post by Leah, an Israeli-American friend of mine.

Well here’s my question; where was the world’s outrage when a bomb from Gaza landed mere meters from my best friend’s house? Where was the world’s outrage at the Israeli civilians who were being “targeted”—if one can call blind firing of rockets into purely civilian areas actual targeting—for the past month? Is it all right to bomb Israeli citizens intentionally and wrong to bomb buildings in which Hamas terrorist leaders are holed up continuing their terror after warning the civilians to leave?

Where was the world while my best friend’s been “fixing up” her bomb shelter and worrying about her sons’ day care, because it doesn’t have one? Those children are not important…

…But how dare the world’s media use such biased coverage as to interview a Palestinian woman living in the hell that is now Gaza without talking also to an Israeli woman trying to save her kids? How can any use of force against Israel be counted and reported in said media as everyday behavior but a 5-day offensive to make that behavior stop be reported as unwarranted violence? Why must my country be asked repeatedly to be the lamb to the slaughter whenever it is faced with attack?

Ever hip to what today’s immigrants are into, Citizenship & Immigration Canada wants to hear from new Canadians. Despite the fact that in rural villages and big cities around the world, locals are using modern technology like cell phones and blackberrys to send rape videos to their friends, and YouTube to disseminate beheading videos, Canada’s bureaucrats want them to find a VHS recorder (why not Beta?) to tell them all about how to end racism.

1. be between 45 to 60 seconds in length;
2. be submitted on one Mini-DV tape, DVD or VHS tape per entry;
3. be accompanied by one entry form, which also includes a parent or guardian signature PER PARTICIPANT;
4. not contain any images not created by the entrants (such as pictures, photographs, stock film or images from the internet) without a letter of permission from the person having rights in the images to use them for insertion in the video for the purposes of the Competition and granting to the Department of Citizenship and Immigration and its agents the right to use all videotape images they receive as they see fit and allow any television station participating in this initiative to edit, reproduce and broadcast any and all video submissions or portions thereof. Remember to include, unless he/she stated otherwise, the name of the author of the images in the credits of the video; and
5. use only original music in your video (i.e. music you and your team composed), or use royalty-free and rights-free music.

Canada is very concerned about the right of those singers and bands to which it gives enormous and unnecessary monetary grants. As for the rights of the budding videographers… well, not so much.

All videotape entries become the property of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration, including all intellectual property rights, and will not be returned. It should be understood that this involves that the Department of Citizenship and Immigration will have the right to use all videotape images they receive as they see fit and allow any television station participating in this initiative to edit, reproduce and broadcast any and all video submissions or portions thereof.

Better hurry! If you get your entry in by January 19, 2009, racism will end. Actually, that’s kinda true. The next day is Obama’s inauguration, and I swear I will rip the head off of anyone who plays the race card for the next 4-8 years after that.

Welcome to 2009! It feels great to be back and blogging after the month off I had. Of course, I couldn’t have managed a vacation had it not been for James of Right or Wrong Radio; many thanks to James. I know he enjoyed being here, and God knows he had lots to say! So I’m planning to have him post an article every week or so in 2009.

I just talked to Mike Williams of Brass Balls Radio, who informs me that we are still averaging half a million downloads a week! He now has the show spread over two servers to avoid what he calls “another Steynian meltdown”, referring to our million download week when we interviewed Mark Steyn. That was a rather expensive week, trying to beg/borrow/buy/steal more bandwidth!! Mind if I ask why you’re not sponsoring Brass Balls by running ads for your company?

I seem to have a somewhat steady roof over my head these days in Toronto, so I’m staying put for a while. You will see me on the Michael Coren Show again on January 12th. Before my appearance, expect me to do something drastic with my hair!

FYI, I continue to blog over at LadyBlog and at my freelance site, aptly named Girl on the Write. I didn’t give these up over December - I just needed a break from the content of GOTR.
