LOL - I am glad right girl has no qualms using the P word. Love it. I can at least understand the draft dodgers. I don’t like them but a draft is rather unconstitutional. But as you said they signed a pledge. Why does Canada even admit them in the first place - by doing so Canada is aiding and abeting a traitor.

This kind of stuff always irks me.

First, who joins the military not realizing what it does? It’s not like 80 years ago where you could some kid out of the back hills of some holler who may only vaguely be aware of what the military does. Nope - this is the freakin’ 21st century. Where national security programs are printed on the front page of The New York Times.

You join the military expect to kill people and blow up shit. If you’re not directly killing people and blowing up shit, you’ll be supporting someone who is. And some day you might be called upon to do the same - in a pinch.

Then when they suddenly realize they don’t like the line of work of killing people and blowing up shit, do they just say, “No” and take the punishment? Nope, they run off and hide until someone drags them back or they get tired of life on the lam and then turn themselves in and face the same music they would have from the get go.

All this proves is that they were too stupid in the first place to be in my U.S. Armed Forces.

I’ve heard of a lot of different types of training, but I’ve never heard of “If someone comes within so many feet of my vehicle” shoot to kill training. That my be contained is some other “If a MF runs toward your vehicle carring what looks like a bomb shoot the SOB before he gets within so many feet of your vehicle.” type of training. But I don’t know of any like what he describes. Then again, I don’t know everthing…

I’ve never known of any “Just wing’em” training either…
