When conservatives let loose
CPAC is like an all-inclusive vacation for conservatives. You pay for your hotel and your conference ticket, put on a suit and your conference lanyard, and watch the drinks and dinners miraculously appear. Anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the Omni Shoreham Hotel in DC, if you walk into a bar, someone from the convention will be running a tab, and will welcome you to their party. There are lunch’n'learn events each day with refreshment, star-studded dinners on Thursday and Friday nights, and usually a party in someone’s hotel room after hours.
It’s like what you see on MTV’s Spring Break, but with pearls and navy blue suits.
