Warren Kinsella gets it wrong again
Over the question of Michael Ignatieff’s “true patriot love“.

Here the Clever Jackal attempts to equate immigrants to Canada with Ignatieff, an immigrant from Canada who chose to live in Massachusetts and teach at Harvard for 30-odd years. You know, McGill or University of Toronto weren’t good enough for him.
Not that I can personally begrudge Iggy from wanting to get the hell out of here for any stretch of time - I’d do it myself. But then again, my own lack of “true patriot love” pretty much precludes me (above all other things) from running for Prime Minister.
Then again, if we base things on Ignatieff’s country of choice, we will see that hating America is no hindrance to the presidency. So what the hell, right?
I feel that the reason behind the ads is to illustrate not that he lived away, but that in doing so, he boasted about how he is American, and he has openly mused about returning to the States if he were not to become PM. That, in my opinion is the origin of the “just visiting” ads.
The CPC, in my opinion has no issue with immigration or living abroad. However, they take issue with someone openly stating that they came home to be the PM and will leave when that isn’t possible.

lets be honest - Kinsella is a self gratifying con man, who is only interested in spinning any fact to his purpose - glorifying himself in the eyes of Lieberal party of Canada - he describes his methods (and lack of integrity) in his endless rants and his own book(s) - he believes the rewards that are promised, justifies any means - it is up to us to expose him, and prevent him from acieving his goal. Loathing is to weak a word to describe this spin artist, and liar.

canajerk whether The lying Jackal pulls his wire or is a con man makes no difference. He lies a lot and he is a perpetual jerk end of story. OK. Now you can carry on folks. PS. Iggy only loves himself period. All people and countries should not feel bad about it, it is just the way he is.

I don’t know about American Iggy (”It’s as much my country,” etc), but Some of our better leaders were born in the UK. For example, Sir John A. McDonald was born in Scotland, Alexander McKenzie was also born in Scotland, McKenzie Bowell was born in England, John Turner was born in England, and the greatest Canadian, Tommy Dougles, was born in Scotland. Now, being a Scot by birth and an immigrant to Canada, I’m going to nominate myself for the top job, but not as a Liberal goon, an NDP Marxist, or for the deranged Green Party. I’m going to start my own political party using an old name, The National Party of Canada. I imagine the Libs and the NDP will want tio have me thrown in jail once my no-nonesense, anti-Trudeau platform is released.
