President Obama has finally made an announcements that will encourage the Iranian revolutionists. I hope he'll followup with more of the same, but stronger. Who cares if we're accused of meddling in Iranian affairs. Does the opinion or comments of that dictatorship matter?

Ahmadinejad is nothing more than a puppet of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - Khamenei's front man. The real target is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. A ruse election was held to create the illusion of democracy. Iran's dictatorship must be overthrown, and all of the top leadership (clergy, civilian and military) put to death. Then Iran can become a free nation. But the revolutionaries need to be sure their cause is moving towards freedom, not like the '79 change (from bad to worse).

It will serve no purpose to have a reelection. Whoever is president, he/she will still be a stooge that serves as the mouthpiece of Khamenei.

To overthrow the dictatorship, a lot of blood will be shed, but that's necessary.

The current regime needs to be making improvements to Evin prison, because they'll soon be temporary guests.

As the revolution continues the dictatorship will gradually fracture, and more and more of the military and police will join the revolt.

The revolution's success will be democracy's biggest victory in many years. Think about what it would do for Iran, Iraq, Syria, the Palestinians, Hezbollah, Hamas and world terrorism, and the blessing for Israel.

Democracies should be working on providing arms to the revolutionaries.

I'll keep this short. This is directed towards the poster named Winston.

I erred in my earlier comment. I made a mistake and am totally willing to admit that. I'm still not onboard with the whole "Pro-America, Pro-Israel" concept and a lot of the beliefs held by posters on this site, but if Winston wants to fight for his country I do have to respect that.

For the record, I'm with Winston.

Demon, if his instructions are too mechanically complex for comprehension or performance, piss off will do quite nicely as well.

Our history buff seems to be rather selective, or simply a parrot. Mossadegh was not duly elected, he was appointed. The "election" occurred later as a formality, one whose validity was something akin to this past Friday.

There are plenty of historical points to pick at. Our history buff chose the weakest, though he probably has no clue why.

I'd dance another round with you, genius, but I simply haven't the time to waste. I gotta go watch my FOX News now so I know what to say tomorrow.

Winston's a good man. Have known him for a few years now. You should interview him once he stops shaking and gets some sleep. Damn Cannucks. Too close to the Arctic Circle. Personally, I think it's from being too close to the magnetic pole.

Wow Winston. Kinda touchy, aren't you? What's the matter -- people with enough knowledge of history to ask a valid question bug you?

So just to verify, this is your source of info on events in Iran?

"Winston is a pen name for a Canada based Pro-America, Pro-Israel Iranian neo-conservative who is seeking regime change in Iran! Winston is also a fierce supporter of the War on Islamic Terrorism & has supported President Bush's policies to fight Islamofascism."

Ummm, yeah. I'm sure whatever info he is sending passing along is entirely even handed and has no agenda whatsoever attached. This is like beliveing Fox News.

And as far as Iran and democracy, an 'western nation' is really in no position to talk here. Remember a gent by the name of Mohammed Mossadegh? Democratically elected leader of Iran who was driven out of office by a CIA/ Brit coup because he had silly notions like the resources of Iran being used for that country instead of doing things like filling the coffers of BP? And the west then replaced him with who? Oh yes, the Shah. And everything turned out awesome there.

A very grave situation indeed. I rather doubt that Mahmoud Aminajad will go quietly. His whole tenure has been about acquiring nuclear weapons and the eventual destruction of Israel. I remember the first "revolution" in Iran when Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlevi and his wife, Empress Farah, fled Iran during a popular revolt in 1979, only to be replaced by the infamous Muhammodian nutter, Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini. If Aminajad gets his way, he will cling to power and rockets wil be heading for Israel.

If the situation in Iran isn't bad enough, North Korea's "dear leader' Kim Jong-il II is threatening nuclear war with South Korea. The reclusive nutter with the rapidly receding Elvis Presley hair-do has flaty stated that more than a third of the nuclear fuel rods in his possession already spent have been reprocessed. The rest of his plutonium will be used for weapons. The BIG worry here is, North Korea has developed the Taepodong-2 missile, which some analysts believed is capable of hitting the western United States. However, South Korea and Japan will get it first before the Yanks. But if the USA is hit, the radioactive fall-out could cramp the style of the Green Party tree huggers as far north as BC.

This what happens when deranged lunatics are allowed to have nuclear technology. Jesus said, "And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places." (Matthew 24: 6-7)

If you pray, then pray for peace.
