This one goes out to Roman Polanski & Woody Allen

From all the little girls out there!
From all the little girls out there!

October is almost upon us. In addition to being the month the Good Lord chose to deliver me to this spinning ball of mud, it is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Given that I have had such a boobtacular year, with Mark Steyn mentioning my ta-tas almost daily for weeks - including on the Rugh Limbaugh Show - I thought I ought to give a little something back.
Each day in the month of October, I will highlight a different product or service that will assist in breast cancer research. It might be a donation you can make directly, or a product you can buy that gives something back to one of the research foundations.
Some of those foundations I’ll be highlighting include:
Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)
National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)
As each person is different, you may have a particular foundation you prefer to align yourself with - or one you would prefer not to. Each day my feature will tell you who receives the money, and how much. It’s up to you to make a choice.
For all my female readers, I hope you’ll care for yourself and do regular breast exams. In addition, schedule a mamogram. It’s difficult for those in socialized countries to book mamograms if we are under the “risk” age, but if you have any reason to suspect you may be at risk for breast cancer, be your own advocate and demand one. Don’t let some bean counter put your life in danger.
Yes folks, it’s that time of the year again. My birthday is on Saturday, October 3rd. Those of you unsure of what to get me or where to send it are encouraged to hit the tip jar to the right of the page.

Events planned for this year? Well, a party on Friday night. Possibly heading to the TEA Party in London on Saturday - not yet confirmed. It involves a very early morning departure - but I shall try.
I was raped when I was 14 years old, by a boy of 16. I was not drugged or sodomized - thank God - but it was still rape. Rape-rape.
I could not imagine what it would be like to be drugged and raped by a man of my father’s age. As it was, my parents were excellent at protecting me from all the weird uncles who populated my mother’s side of the family. The idea that one of them might have done that to me… unimaginable.
To be violated by an adult, a person of responsibility - a person of some acclaim - would be terrible. It would be like being touched in church, and not having your parents believe that Father O’Grady could ever do such a thing.
I do however know what it’s like to have my peers tell me it’s no big deal. That it shouldn’t matter. That it’s over, don’t raise a stink about it. Or, better yet: That he didn’t mean it.
This behavior has always baffled me. Why is it ok to be raped, just because the other person is older/stronger/richer/more famous than you are? Why do people stand up for the rapist, but not the raped?
What the hell is wrong with Whoopi Goldberg?
“I know it wasn’t rape-rape. It was something else but I don’t believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and and when they let him out he was like ‘You know what, this guy’s going to give me a hundred years in jail I’m not staying,’ so that’s why he left.”
Roman Polanski left because he’s a guilty, cowardly rapist, Whoopi. A hundred years in jail, of being anally raped like that 13 year old girl was, would be just the thing for him.
I don’t see Whoopi as being a huge fan of cock - what if situations were reversed? How might she then feel about it?
This is Ted Kennedy all over again. This is anal-quiddick. This is what the definition of “is” is. This is Hollywood’s hatred of Elia Kazan.
If there’s a moral divide, you can bet your unraped anus that Hollywood will be standing on the wrong side.
Poor ACORN, nobody wants to deal with them anymore. After the pimp/ho videos hit the airwaves, a bunch of corrupt ACORN nuts were fired for their conduct. Then the US Census Bureau dumped them. Then Congress passed a motion saying there would be no more government booty for them.
Now their main bank, Bank of America, is suspending operations with them until a full audit into their actions can be performed.
In response to questions from The Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the banking company said it has “suspended current commitments” to Acorn Housing, an affiliated group, and “will not enter into any further agreements with Acorn or any of its affiliates,” pending assessments by the bank of the organization’s operations.
“Bank of America takes recent allegations made against Acorn and Acorn Housing Corporation employees very seriously,” the bank said in a statement.
A.C.O.R.N. really oughta mean Audacious Chicago Organization of Radical Negroes. Just sayin’.

My friend and I sat sipping coffee in Yorkville, chatting about life and my upcoming birthday. I was a little distracted by the pile of work I knew I had waiting for me at home, including the barely-touched review copy of Salim Mansur’s forthcoming book, Islam’s Predicament.
While my friend and I chatted, somewhere halfway across town, Salim - in on a day trip from London, ON - was sitting stuck in traffic. He was thinking that if he wasn’t running so late for his meeting, he would call me.
Wouldn’t you know it that just as my friend and I were about to leave the café, Salim walked right past us?
“I was going to call you!” we cried in unison.
Confirming my cell number before rushing off, he promised to call me in 90 minutes. True to his word, within a hundred minutes we were strolling happily through Queen’s Park, playing Count the Hippies at the Toronto Word on the Street book fair.
We spent the afternoon talking of everything from politics to Jazz and all subjects between.
Salim’s book, Islam’s Predicament: Perspectives of a Dissident Muslim (Mosaic Press), will be released within the next month, and Salim will be joining Mike and I on Brass Balls Radio in two weeks time.
Interesting read in WaPo about a new author who was given less than zero support from her publishing house when it came to marketing. So she did her own, and has sold over 300,000 copies. Huzzah! Yay for grassroots!
A couple of my friends have used print to order services like LuLu and done pretty good - mostly from ebook sales. The idea being, of course, that people are more willing to take a chance and a previously unknown author if they don’t have to pay tons of overhead or shipping just to read them.
Putting together, marketing and selling an ebook or a print on demand book can be tough, because you’re the only employee in the publishing house. You don’t have PR professionals at your disposal, there’s no agent to fall back on for advice - you’re totally on your own.
Peter Bowerman wrote The Well Fed Writer and marketed it on his own. He made a fortune. I have a copy, and if you aren’t hoping for failure, you should too.
That said, he also has a book called The Well-Fed Self-Publisher which chronicles how he made a living selling The Well Fed Writer. He offers a free report to whet your appetite, if self-publishing is something you’ve been considering.
I bought The Well Fed Self Publisher in ebook format. Again, for the same reason I mentioned above - no extra costs, just the book. Yes it takes a while to get used to reading on the computer, but it’s worth it for the money you save, trust me.
Anyway, check out The Well-Fed Self-Publisher . If you’ve been thinking about it, stop putting it off and DO SOMETHING about it!!
Thanks so much to blogger and The Delivery host Jimmy Bise for bringing it to my attention!
Eddibear of DoublePlusUndead brings the cussin’ and the hollerin’ to a fever pitch in this rant about being called a “racist” just because you disagree with the policies of a communist black man.
But, since you seem to think that any and all criticism of Obama is racist, let’s run down my racism:
*Gathering in opposition to an attempt to fuck the country up the ass with runaway taxes, government run health care, looming inflation, perpetual 10% unemployment, and more government meddling in our lives is now racist? Good to know.
*Blogging about or discussing said events on the radio or Television is racist? How did I miss that?
*Defending a Congressman who dared to speak out to The One? Fly the Stars & Bars!
*Exposing the dirty dealings of a corrupt “Community Organizing” group by pretending to be a pimp and a hooker, or calling out union thugs for their actions? Get out the White Sheets, Mabel.
*Exposing the shady associations of an avowed Marxist and Truther who potentially was going to have his hand in the middle of a metric assload of money and regulations? Let’s hang out with Fuzzy Zoeller.I could go on, but that is only a fraction of the racist activities I have been associated with, and I believe you get the point.
I’ve been saying pretty much the same thing for the past few months, and adding that if you so desperately want to belive that pro-Constitution Americans are really racist, you’d better duck and cover if they decide to take you up on that epithet.
We are screaming and protesting against bad policy - we are not yelling nigger in a crowded theater. In fact, most of the racism that hits the black community comes from the left, whether it is slavery backed by Southern Democrats, lynchings by friends of Democratic Senator Robert Byrd, or the soft racism of low expectations that comes from affirmative action. Welfare is a bigger form of racism than anything that comes from the so-called racist right.
If you want to call me a racist, go for it. I don’t care. Really. If I cared, I would have given up this blog a long time ago. If a racist is someone who points out the truth, then I’m a racist. If a racist is someone who opposes bad policy, then I’m a racist. If a racist is someone who notices that there really are differences between people of different cultures instead of pretending that a welfare queen is equal to a person who puts themselves through trade school, I’m a racist.
Oh, and fuck you.

Saturday, October 3rd is my birthday, and London, Ontario is throwing me a TEA Party!
On October 3 2009 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, the Forest City Institute invites you to join us at Reg Cooper Square (behind City Hall) and let London’s city council and bureaucrats know it is time to end London’s decade of darkness.
Share the event via Facebook!

12:00pm – 2:00pm
Reg Cooper Square, behind City Hall

“Inspired by the success of the TEA Parties in the United States, it’s time for Londoners — and all Canadians — to take a stand in the Forest City against the mismanagement of our money at any level of government, and inform Canadians on what the bureaucrats are really doing with our money.
“Come and join the Forest City Institute in Reg Cooper Square for music, great speakers, and a rally against high taxes, and tell the government to stop over-spending.
Come and hear guest speakers like Kathy Shaidle, whose last visit to our city spurred the Freeps’ smear campaign that actually helped sell out the event!
The Canadian Human Rights Commission really oughta sell tickets for this one, with all the money going back to people who have been unfairly persecuted by Richard Warman - AKA “one of the bravest people” Warren Kinsella knows. (BTW, Kinsella, the Canadian Jewish Congress and other serial censors are strangely silent on this interesting development. We’ll chalk it up to the High Holidays.)
Ezra - speech warrior supreme - has the scoop:
Richard Warman, the hate speech complainant who is personally responsible for all but two section 13 censorship prosecutions this decade, is now being investigated by the Canadian Human Rights Commission for hate speech himself.
Keep in mind that for years, Warman has been posing as a Nazi on white supremacist websites, trying to entrap other Canadians into making racist remarks so he could slam them with a human rights complaint. And for the most part, it’s been working.
But then people - people like Ezra Levant and Kathy Shaidle - began to notice, and began to write about his use of racial slurs on these white supremacist sites. Instead of skulking away after being caught, Warman instead turned around and sued his exposers! Yes, apparently these claims that he had been doing… well, exactly what he’s been doing, actually, were libelous and defamed his “bravest people” character.
It’s been more than a year since Warman filed suit against the Canuck Six (Ezra Levant, Kathy Shaidle, Kate McMillan, the Fourniers and Jonathan Kay), and his lawyer hasn’t turned over any of the requested pre-discovery documentation. The reason of course is quite simple: He doesn’t want to case to go to discovery, because he is guilty of every claim made by the Canuck Six. And unlike in the Kangaroo Courts of the Human Rights Commission, truth really is a defense in a defamation suit.
Ezra closes out his post saying that he actually pities Richard Warman. I don’t. Karma’s a bitch, Ricky.
For some time I’ve wondered why there isn’t more hue and cry from the insurance industry about Obamacare. When you consider that a socialized option would pretty much put the insurance companies out of business, the silence makes no sense.
What makes even less sense are the companies like Progressive (aptly named) and AARP who are actively pushing for the option.
Take AARP as an example. They cater to the retiree crowd, right? The baby boomers who are now hitting the so-called Golden Years. Such people are likely to be hurt the worst by Obamacare. While I don’t agree with Palin’s use of the term “Death Panel”, I do understand the sentiment behind the hyperbole. In a publicly funded system that will inevitably stretched too thin, there has to be a cost-benefit analysis done on patients to determine if they are worth the expensive treatments.
Pensioners, despite years of tax-paying service to their nation, are worthless. They no longer contribute, and socialist governments only ever think in the instant-gratification short term. The government doesn’t care about the 45 years you spent paying taxes - they only care that they now have to pay you to play golf and crochet.
By withholding expensive, life saving treatment to seniors, the government not only benefits by saving money on that treatment. By pushing you into an early grave, the government gets to stop paying out your Social Security every month. Bonus!
But I digress. A lot. Again, how does AARP benefit from this? Why are they pushing this so hard to their members?
It benefits because along with the rest of the overhaul, Obama wants to institute changes to Medicare Advantage, the current public option for seniors.
Medicare Advantage is a catch-all program for low-income seniors which allows them to choose their drug insurance plan from a variety of companies. Basically, a senior pays into the program, picks an insurance company to go with, and the government subsidizes that company for the cost of the senior’s prescriptions. Everybody wins. (Note: This is different from the Medicare program, which is fully single payer, government run)
So if Obama cuts or eliminates Medicare Advantage, what will those seniors do? Well, they will either go directly to Medicare (the government single-payer option) or they will be forced to buy a supplementary package with a company like… AARP!
Currently, this supplementary drug option - called MediGap - accounts for 70% of AARP’s annual income. How much nicer would things be if they were the only game in town, huh?
Despite an insurance industry report [PDF] that stated Medicare Advantage led to healthier seniors overall, the Obama government wants to slash $150 billion from the MA budget to make way for “healthcare reform”. Baby, bathwater.
Seniors in Medicare Advantage spent fewer days in a hospital, were subject to fewer hospital re-admissions, and were less likely to have “potentially avoidable” admissions for common conditions ranging from uncontrolled diabetes to dehydration, on a risk-adjusted basis, according to a new analysis of publicly available data from AHRQ.
So the administration wants to throw out a program that is actually working, and replace it with a full-on socialized system, or support cronyism with friends at AARP.
A new report just released today on HealthReform.gov is touted with these quotes by Joe Biden and Kathleen Sebelius is interesting:
“We will protect seniors - not burden them with out of pocket costs,” said Vice President Biden. “The bottom line is, seniors will be better off under what we are proposing, and not a dollar from the Medicare trust fund will be used to pay for health insurance reform.”
Right. Because they’re not cutting Medicare - they’re cutting Medicare Advantage. The one that promotes patient choice.
Under health insurance reform, seniors will get better care and their health care costs will go down, said Secretary Sebelius. Reform will strengthen Medicare, cut drug costs, and help ensure all seniors get the high-quality, affordable care they deserve.
Madame, that sounds more like a threat than anything.
It is true - I’m not denying it - that Medicare Advantage is more expensive than Medicare. But it provides patients with a choice in who they deal with, instead of an overarching, meddling government single-payer.
The leftist ideology for decades has been My Body, My Choice. That choice does not seem to apply to basic health care.

Mike and I could only address the Ballistic Missile Defense issue so well. For the real scoop, you are strongly encouraged to listen to the Steve Schippert Show right after BBR.

They destroy the body’s natural defenses, leaving themselves open to infections that in a well-cared-for body would not be fatal.
But even if that were not the case… It would still make sense to send the body bags.
But Grand Chief David Harper says he’s not satisfied. Harper, who represents northern First Nations, said they want an apology from Aglukkaq and they want Wolfe’s resignation.
Saying the body bags were part of a routine shipment is “an excuse that is totally unacceptable,” Harper said. “We don’t even accept his apology. The only apology that we’ll accept is from the minister responsible for health and well-being of our First Nations.”
With a potential election looming on the horizon, it’s pretty damn clear to anyone that this is political pot-stirring to get attention. As usual.
But let’s ignore that for the moment.
Let’s instead look at the fact that body bags are part and parcel of the emergency health kits. Let’s look at the fact that if a pandemic hits in the dead of winter, and many reservations are difficult - if not impossible - to access in winter, there may be an addition health concern of no bags for bodies. What would happen then? Um, how about the hue and cry of whinging natives about how they’re ignored and no body bags were ever sent to them? Yeah, I could see that.
Looks like a case of damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
And of course, the aforementioned political pot-stirring by the Liberals. They’ve had a bad week, what with Jack! Layton siding with the Tories against an election. They need some straw to grasp, and they’ve chosen the Indians.
Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said yesterday the body bag shipment “sends a message – it simply says: `We expect aboriginal Canadians to die.’”
Not as quickly or as painfully as your dreams for a fall election, Iggy.

Well kids, I’m outta here for a day or so. Longtime reader KP is going to be in Niagara Falls today, and I figure if he could make the first 2500 or so miles, I could get my ass on a bus the rest of the way from Toronto. KP has been with Girl on the Right forever. Right from the beginning. I can’t wait to meet him and make him buy me dinner. Heh. It’s also Topless Wednesday, so this could be awwwkward…
So while I’m out, entertain yourselves by checking out what Binks is up to over at Free Mark Steyn.
Come to think of it, go see what The Steyn himself is up to.
The Other McCain has become a highlight of most days for me. He posts constantly, so put him in your RSS reader.
Bruce Bawer is in Canada to promote his latest book, Surrender: Appeasing Islam, Sacrificing Freedom. There’s going to be a live session with him from Montreal at 7pm EST. The intro will be in French, everything else in English. I hate and despise UStream with a passion I generally reserve only for Islam, but this time I would say to make the effort. If you can’t get the connection to hold without jamming, it is NOT the fault of the organizers of the event. It’s UStream. UStream is ass.
That said, without further ado… 7pm EST Wednesday September 16, 2009
EDIT: Once the moment passed, I took out all the UStream shit. It’s soooo bad. Seriously. If you ever wanted the site to load, you should thank me.
Due to current health issues and various real-life inanities, I am unable to attend the Smart Girl Summit in Nashville this coming Friday. It’s a sold out event, with a waiting list of more than 100 people - male and female - hoping to get in.

So, Smart Girl Politics is auctioning off my ticket!
There’s a catch - you have to be a Brass Balls Radio Correspondent. That means calling in a few times throughout the summit to report on what’s going on, who’s there, and provide any interviews you can with the speakers. Speakers include Liz Cheney and Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn.
So here’s what you get:
But wait, there’s more!
If the winning bid goes about $200, SGP will kick in a free ticket to their special private dinner with Michelle Malkin, and a copy of her new book, Culture of Corruption.
What are you waiting for? You know you wanna be me, even if it’s just for a day…
PS - I’m told there’s a bottle of El Grado Tequila waiting for me in Nashville. Yes, you can have that, too.
PPS - Bidding and attendance are NOT limited to girls or people who are particularly smart. We don’t discriminate.
God Bless America. God Save The Queen. The Star Spangled Banner. Rule Britannia.
Those days are so over. It’s no longer à mode to teach children to be patriotic. Here in Canada we’re taught that our evil white ancestors came over and slaughtered a bunch of (savage) Injuns. In the USA, kids are taught more about the evils of American slavery than they are about America’s accomplishments. And that goes doubly for the United Kingdom, because their history goes so much further back.
Melanie Phillips addresses the lack of patriotism in our global village, and the multi-culti moral equivalence that our kids are taught in schools.
Once upon a time, loving your country enough that you were prepared to die for it was held to be the highest virtue.
Indeed, without patriotism there would be no one serving in the Armed Forces.
For the past 1,000 years, it has given the people of these islands the strength and courage to repel invaders and defeat the enemies of liberty.
Is it not extraordinary that such affection for your country should now be considered so objectionable that children should be told it is positively dangerous?
One teacher said that praising patriotism excluded non-British pupils.
Oh, do shut up. These people came to Britain. If they can’t hack it, they can get the hell back out.
The same lefty ideology that says every kid should get a medal no matter how inept he is, is the one that says we in the West should be ashamed of our accomplishments lest we make tribal backwaters feel bad about themselves.
But then, some of these teachers seemed unwilling to acknowledge the concept of citizenship at all, spouting idiotic nonsense instead about promoting ‘universal brotherhood’ or the need to ‘identify as humans’.
With no awareness of any irony (they probably don’t understand what that means either) some said promoting patriotism was a form of ‘brainwashing’.
So what, pray, is promoting ‘universal brotherhood’? Planet earth to teachers: make contact, please!
