Why Toronto is DOOMED
On my way to my post-apocalyptic-marriage group therapy this evening, I popped into a greasy spoon for a bite to eat. While noshing my dinner, I watched the TV set to CP24, Toronto’s all news channel. At five o’clock they introduced the top stories of the day.
Wanna know what #1 was, despite the 2 shootings that took place in Toronto and the terror arrest in Ottawa? Guess. You’ll never guess.
The number one news story for Toronto - Canada’s largest city - was that a traffic officer illegally parked in a disabled parking bay (in a Tim’s parking lot, naturally), and someone got cell phone snaps of it. The first SEVEN minutes of the newscast were dedicated to this deeply pressing issue, with interviews from the appropriate special interest groups, and the woman who snapped the pics.
Toronto has absolutely no sense of priorities. We are doomed.
That type of shit is why I stopped watching local news altogether. I don’t know that it’s a Toronto problem in particular, though.
Lately I’ve been watching BBC world news. Yeah, they’ve got their biases, but it’s real, hard news.

I hope you judge your news agencies properly, because CP24 is probably one of the worst news agencies in Canada, it’s a testament to that channel, not Toronto.

I think that sort of reporting is silly. The most important story of the day was missed by all — apparently a woman farted within 10 yards of a homosexual man, walked away, failed to apologize, and failed to pay the prequisite fine under section 27 of the new civil code: Flatulence within 30 yards of a Gay man is homophobic “gassing” and is punishable by not less than $500 to be paid directly to the offended party by the gassee”.
Reporters may have missed the important story, but my understanding is CSIS, the RCMP and Interpol have been notified to be on the lookout for a farting homophobe on the loose again.

I guess the JournoListas in the media decided that the parking infraction was more important. They do know better than us peasants.

If you’ve every driven a disabled relative around and been unable to park, you’ll appreciate the embarrassment the person deservedly got. But I agree, not the lead story, and not seven minutes.

I don’t know about Toronto, but France is well and truly fucked. I just got back from a European tour, after which I spent a week in France. The lefties are aghast at the removel of 70,000 Romas (gypsies) back to Romania and Bulgaria. Having run into these parasites in Paris, let me tell you they stink, steal, breed like liberals and generally do sweet fuck all to earn an honest living. They work in groups to pick pocket the tourists - even in the Eiffel Tower, and harass you with cheap souvenirs and other worthgless trinkets once you are back on the ground. Then we had the steet protests over the heartless President, Sarkozi. The protestors were mainly Africans “refugees” and Algerian car burners, with a sprinkling of white leftie stundents.
Just before we flew back to Canada, we stayed in a very nice suites hotel only five minutes walk from a picturesque village. So we went for a walk, bought some groceries and generally admired what was left of old France. Then, as if to ruin my day, along comes Muhammed with his Saudi dress code and six inch beard. Later that evening, I popped back to the village for a newspaper only to be suspiciously eye-balled by a group of black youths who started shouting at me in African-French. Feeling a little vulnerable, I grabbed my newspaper and started to walk away when two vehicles with muscle bound French Gendarme pulled up. I got talking to the cops. “Whats with the Muslims and Africans in a village as pretty as this”? The muscle bound cop shrugged. “It is France these days, mon ami.”
Yep, France is well and truly fucked. And Canada isn’t far behind.
