My account of yesterday’s pathetic anti-Bush protest in downtown Toronto. They have lost their fighting spirit, now that their arch-nemesis is a civilian just like you and I.

I don’t know who the Marxists, Socialists, Khadr’s, Stop the War etc have left to live for, now that they have no one to hate.

PA Tortures Journalists

“This is not Israel, where you are allowed to see a lawyer.”

Over the past two years Palestinian journalists in the West Bank and Gaza Strip have been subjected to a systematic campaign of intimidation that has resulted in the death of some and the detention of others.

The campaign, which is being waged by both Hamas and Fatah, has received almost no attention from human rights groups and advocates of the freedom of expression throughout the world.

By contrast, when a Palestinian journalist is accidentally wounded by Israeli gunfire during clashes with Palestinians, the incident makes headlines in major media outlets in the US and EU.

What is most disturbing about the campaign of intimidation is the fact that it’s being spearheaded by the Palestinian Authority of Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank. This is the same authority that is receiving hundreds of millions of dollars from American and European taxpayers’ money every month to build a proper judicial system and promote democracy and transparency among the Palestinians.

This movie is rather excellent. Please do watch the whole thing and then decide how you feel about the US Iraq mission. I tend to agree with Chris Hitchens. If for no other reason than humanitarian alone Saddam had to be removed.

While googling for a picture of something, I accindently hitted your site. On your website i saw the capnbob tribute banner. I wanna thank you for bringing it to my attention, because it is great. I think it is hilarious: It looks like something really serious and then in the end you see George W. making his most dumbest face ever with the then very ironical “god bless america”. You are right: with a president like that you do have a big probIem. Lets hope that idiot gets out asap! I mailed it to all my friends, i think it might become a hit here! thanks for sharing it!
