I know you’re all jealous

A wonderful gift to perk up my spirits. Thanks.
Yves Saint Laurent is dead at the age of 71.
The innovative designer has been an institution for decades in the world of high fashion and was credited with making high fashion more accessible to the person on the high street.
A reclusive and private individual, he was widely considered the last of a generation that included Christian Dior and Coco Chanel and made Paris the fashion capital of the world.
He was the first to use black women on the catwalk and won countless awards for his creations.
After too many years of the worst decades in fashion replaying themselves (bell-bottomed late 60’s, staying’-alive 70’s, neon 80’s), I have finally gotten my wish. A return to the 30’s and 40’s.
Check out the fantastic designs by Diane Von Furstenberg, Tracy Reese and Catherine Malandrino.
And if I ever get married again, I want to wear this.
