I do it because someone has to. I do it because your six o’clock news is besotted with things like the Obama administration and Jessica Simpson’s weight, and buries stories like this:

A Pakistani man went on trial in France on Tuesday for setting his ex-girlfriend alight after she refused to marry him, in a case that rights groups are using as as a symbol of violence against women in poor neighbourhoods.

Amer Mushtaq Butt, 28, doused Chahrazade Belayni in petrol and set fire to her on the street as she was leaving her home in the under-privileged Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Marne in 2005.

She suffered third-degree burns on 60 percent of her body, fell into a coma and underwent many operations. Belayni, now 21, works for the police.

“I want him to pay for what he did, not for my sake but to show other girls who have problems with their partners that it’s possible to fight back and the justice system won’t abandon them,” she told reporters just before the trial opened.

Butt fled to Pakistan after the attack on Belayni but returned to France to hand himself in a year later. He has confessed to the attack and blamed it on an obsession with the young woman. He faces a maximum sentence of life in jail.

Reuters goes on to say how aggrieved these poor immigrants are, and how they kill and maim their women because they feel excluded from society. Tell ya what - I plan to exclude any fucker from my society who thinks it’s ok to set fire to his girlfriend. Not the other way around. Is there anything these “youths” won’t burn?

A book fair in Paris has become the subject of controversy with several Muslim countries announcing boycotts because the guest of honour is Israel.

Saudi Arabia has become the latest to withdraw, following Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria.

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Isesco) has also urged its 50 members to pull out from the fair, which starts on 14 March.

By knowing that all these parasites won’t be sneaking in on their faux visas, didn’t this book fair just become 100% safer?

Really, is it any great loss to the book fair - let alone the entire world of literature - if the Muslims don’t want to play along? What kind of contribution would they have made, anyway (not counting dead bodies)?

Early morning shoppers at a supermarket in Jeddah were left reeling yesterday, with some falling unconscious, after a well-built Syrian man clinched a knife and decapitated his 15-month-old nephew in front of his mother in the store’s fruit and vegetable section.

In a brutal murder that has shocked the city, the 25-year-old man beheaded the boy, who was out shopping with his mother — in full glare of shoppers and staff at Al-Marhaba supermarket on Sari Street around 9.30 a.m. The man, who is the boy’s maternal uncle, apparently killed the boy following a dispute with his sister and brother-in-law.

Eyewitnesses said that the man picked up a knife from inside the store and severed the boy’s head.

This is the viper we insist on nursing to our breast.

The French police carried out a series of high-profile raids in poor suburbs close to the capital Monday, arresting dozens of people suspected of shooting at police officers and setting fires during three days of unrest in November.

The raids were supported by 1,100 police officers who surrounded buildings, forced open doors and searched homes in towns including Villiers-le-Bel and Sarcelles.

Is there hope for the French after all? Who knows. We’ll see how many carbeques result from this raid. And how many more raids follow. It’s also worthwhile to note that the Danes have been very heavy-handed in their treatment of Muslim rioters over the past few days, making France look all the weaker. No wonder the cops went in with TV cameras - they’re not just taking back the no-go zones: they’re taking back their pride, too.

Good luck to them. They’ll need it.

Amazing. I read 4 random reports from the ongoing Paris “youth” riots, and not one of those reports said the “M-word”: Muslim. Because, ya know, if you pretend it’s a Religion of Peace(tm), then it must be true!

French police fired tear gas and rubber bullets late on Monday during running battles with rioters in a suburb north of Paris where two youths died after a crash involving a police car.

During a second night of disturbances in Villiers-le-Bel and nearby areas, a local government official said one policeman suffered minor injuries after being shot in the shoulder by some kind of firearm.

A Reuters witness said police were pelted with stones and large firecrackers that exploded over their heads during hours of cat-and-mouse skirmishes with rioters.

Police replied with tear gas, rubber bullets and paint guns designed to identify troublemakers. Spent cartridges and rocks thrown by rioters littered the streets.

Around half a dozen injured officers received treatment in a local fire station used by police as a base. One officer, his face bloodied, had his arm in a sling.

Rioters torched a car, a garbage truck and a police vehicle.

I guess letting them burn things and attack cops is what the French call “reasonable accommodation”. I call it grounds for mass deportation.

It was hoped by many - myself included - that once Sarkozy was elected he would put a stop to this nonsense. He obviously has little patience for the “scum“, which is how he was elected in the first place. I do hope that on his return from Beijing he actually puts his foot down and squashes this ridiculous intifada. Now they’ve started attacking the cops - it’s time to end this.

Think about it, those of you who live in North America, in cities and towns across this massive continent. How would you feel if you looked out your window one night and saw the bloodiest days of Baghdad brought to life before your eyes? This is how it is for the French right now. They are a secular Christian nation with an Islamic war taking place within it. How would you feel sending your kids out to catch the school bus in the morning amid the smoking ruins of last night’s riot? Especially when you know there will be another tonight, just after dark, just after the little ones get home from ecole? We don’t do such things in civilized countries. It is simply unacceptable, and yet it is happening to France. Say what you will about the French, but it will be happening here soon enough, too. And then what will you do?

Speak out against the Islamic takeover of our schools and neighborhoods now, before you are silenced for good.

‘Prisoners of this type, at the end of their sentence, will be examined by a panel of doctors, and if this college of doctors recognises that they are dangerous, they will not be released. They will go to a closed hospital, where they will be treated,’ Sarkozy added.

Those who did not accept treatment would stay in the hospital as long as they were considered dangerous, he said. Those who accepted treatment, such as hormonal therapy, would be allowed to leave the hospital with an electronic tag.

The measures would be part of a bill on sentencing planned for November, Sarkozy said, and a raft of measures aimed at improving treatment for psychologically ill prisoners was also in the works.

The first ‘closed hospital’ dedicated to dealing with paedophiles would open in the eastern city of Lyon in 2009, Sarkozy said. Another establishment would be set up for psychologically ill inmates.

About bloody time we stopped playing games with sex offenders and started locking them up and throwing away the key. It doesn’t matter if they’ve served every remaining second of their sentences - if they are still sick, they still pose a risk to every child they come in contact with.

Case in point is what led Mr. Sarkozy to plan his hospital:

French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Monday pledged tougher treatment for sex offenders following a scandal over a convicted paedophile suspected of raping a 5-year-old boy shortly after his release from prison.

Police said Francis Evrard, a 61-year-old repeat offender who spent 18 years in prison for raping children before being freed on July 2, snatched the boy from a street in the northern town of Roubaix on Wednesday.

The pair were discovered later that day partly clothed in a garage used by Evrard. He said he had been prescribed the anti-impotence drug Viagra while in prison, and officers found a packet of the pills in his pocket.

Sarkozy said Evrard should not have been released so long before the end of his 27-year sentence when the authorities knew he was still dangerous.

And he sure as merde should not have been given Viagra! It’s time these sickos were dealt with in the harshest way possible. Vive le Sarkozy!
