I have been planning this post since Wendy pointed me at the story. It has taken me all day to manage to format it my head in such a manner that I can get it down. I feel this aspect, this slice of time in terms of the events in Bombay India reveals such malice and horror, not just of deed but of agenda and thought that it requires me to once again desensitize myself beyond even what someone who writes daily on the atrocities of Muslims in the name of Islam do around the world on a daily basis.

Let’s start with what we all know. A group of well trained and well equipped Muslim terrorists from a few nations launched an operation out of Pakistan with the intention of murdering five thousand people. They fell short of that mark but that was the plan. They had prepared for this for some time in advance using a plan loosely based on a shelved one intended for use in New York called ‘Landmarks’, an Al Queada plan intended to wreak havoc and based on a design by Ramsey Yussef, the man who was the central figure of the first attack on New York’s WTC. We also all know that a Jewish community center was one of the targets of this operation. The idea was to kill jews. It should be noted that this building had no markings of a Jewish center. That it was far away from the other targets and that it had little or no strategic value but did require a significant percentage of the total resources available to the terrorist group to be used for this purpose. Had they not done this, and remember this was a very carefully planned and rehearsed operation, they would have inflicted a great deal more death and misery on the people of Bombay. Many of us, myself included perhaps may try and mitigate this as being some kind of act based on the existence of Israel or some kind of show of Palestinian sympathy. For a few reasons this is nonsense of course. Hatred and killing of Jews go back to Mohamed and these kinds of acts predate the existence of Israel by centuries.

What makes this so difficult to write, is the facts of how the Jews in that building where treated before they where killed. A couple of weeks ago I read an interview with the coroner who did the autopsies on these people and are the state coroners for terrorist attacks in India. From that page,

Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: “It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood,” one doctor said.

The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: “Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again,” he said.

I read this at the time and kind of dismissed it. Yes there was some shock value in the idea that a seasoned coroner who routinely (that itself is unfortunate) autopsied the bodies of terror victims found this particular incident and victims too horrifying to think about or describe. He objected to discussing it as that would make him have to think of it and he wasn’t prepared to do that.

Then today a photo of the victims with some description of what had been done to them was released. a blurred out one which itself is alarming in as much as today we are all so used to seeing image of violence that would have never made mass media in say, the 1980s or before. This one was so awful that they blurred most of it out. That the Jewish victims, preselected as such with great planning and expense, had been sexually tortured mutilated and humiliated.

Whats my point? That they felt the cost of this action was justified. This wasn’t a few guys on a private plan but this WAS the official plan. This was the intended effect. No politics, no demands, no leverage or bargaining but the sheer desire to torture humiliate and kill jews in ways that would defy the healthy imagination. Below I include that fuzzy picture and a link to some of the descriptions.

I suppose at this point I should advocate for something. An appeal to gods or a demand for state action. I do think any Jew alive today who does not own or have access to a firearm is self deluded but even that won’t help much.

Before I post the article it might be worth mentioning a few things as preface to those not as obsessed as I on watching groups like Taliban etc. The Taliban have had a campaign on as long as they have existed to maintain the Islamic idea that women should never be taught anything other than Koran and have in fact already blown up a large number of schools which dared teach females. As recently the Taliban issued a warning about the non playing or performing of music and shortly thereafter murdered 7 musicians, this is no idle threat. They have already murdered women who go to schools as we have seen also in Algeria and other nations under siege by Islamics or in already Islamic states. For those of you interested in the subject of women and Islam here is a truly excellent video by women who are dealing with the subject.

The video linked to above contains no graphic images whatsoever. It is just a set of short speeches by various activists including the most excellent Dr. Wafa Sultan. However I find it very disturbing and difficult to watch because of the information revealed so be warned. This video about women in Afghanistan however does contain graphic images. Also I have talked with a number of soldiers who have done tours in Afghanistan and I can assure all of you what is revealed in these two videos falls far far short of the horrors done to people in general by Taliban and women in particular. Most of what was reported to me, was beyond my own imagination for cruelty.

Taliban threaten to kill Pakistani schoolgirls: Officials

ISLAMABAD:Taliban extremists in Pakistan’s troubled northwest Swat valley have banned girls from attending school, threatening to kill any female students, officials said Thursday.

The threat was delivered this week by local Taliban commander Shah Durran in an address carried on an illegally-run radio station in the area, local officials told AFP.

“You have until January 15 to stop sending your girls to schools. If you do not pay any heed to this warning, we will kill such girls,” one official quoted the commander as saying.

“We also warn schools not to enrol any female students; otherwise, their buildings will be blown up.”

The mountainous Swat valley was until last year a popular tourist destination featuring Pakistan’s only ski resort.

But the region has been turned into a battleground since radical cleric Maulana Fazlullah, who has links to Pakistan’s Taliban movement, launched a violent campaign for the introduction of Islamic Sharia law in the valley.

Durran said local Taliban leaders were determined not to allow girls to attend school, saying: “We want to enforce the true Sharia in the area — for this, we are fighting and laying down our lives.”

Swat residents said Taliban fighters had already destroyed scores of government-run schools, leading some to set up private schools in their homes to educate girls.

An official at the Pakistani education ministry said there are about 1,580 schools registered in Swat — once known for its top-flight schools.

But the official, Naeem Khan, said: “Already Taliban militants have destroyed 252 schools, mainly those where girls and boys were studying together.”

Education has suffered badly in Swat as a result of the ongoing fighting between Taliban-linked militants and security forces, with only a handful of schools still open in the region’s main city Mingora, Khan said.

The government had reached a deal with the rebels in May to gradually pull out troops and introduce an Islamic justice system in exchange for an end to rebel attacks, but the violence eventually resumed.

By saying fuck the murderers and the laws that protect them.

Hidden camera footage broadcast on television in the Netherlands on Sunday showed Dutch student Joran van der Sloot saying he was with Natalee Holloway when she died on a beach in Aruba, and that he asked a friend to dispose of her body at sea.

“She suddenly didn’t do anything any more,” Mr. van der Sloot said of the 18-year-old Ms. Holloway, in a conversation with a man he believed to be his friend.

Greta has been all but stalking this kid since Natalee’s disappearance. Perseverance. But it was a Dutch reporter who got the scoop.

The exchange, in Dutch, was recorded in a Range Rover that had been rigged with three hidden cameras by Peter de Vries, a Dutch television crime reporter who claims the footage solves the mystery surrounding Ms. Holloway’s disappearance. It was shown on Dutch television.

Unbelievable. They finally got the poor woman. They’ve been trying for months.

Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday outside a large gathering of her supporters where a suicide bomber also killed at least 14, doctors and a spokesman for her party said.

While Bhutto appeared to have died from bullet wounds, it was not immediately clear if she was shot or if her wounds were caused by bomb shrapnel.

President Pervez Musharraf held an emergency meeting in the hours after the death, according to state media.

Mahmud Ali Durrani, Pakistan ambassador to the United States, said Musharraf will be “announcing something” soon, likely to include a declaration of national mourning for Bhutto. He said that when he briefly spoke with Musharraf, the president “condemned these attacks.”

Police warned citizens to stay home as they expected rioting to break out in city streets in reaction to the death.

But at the very least, I am relieved that this was a love triangle, and not the honor killing I originally believed it to be.

While dumpster diving late last night for something to blog about, I happened upon an article over at Rabble, where Krystalline Kraus (described as writer and activist) laments the violence on the streets and turns due process on its head.

The situation is similar in Vancouver. Last month Peter Collins, a 79-year-old church patron, was mugged by a homeless man in a downtown Cathedral. His assailant, 43-year-old Darcy Lance Jones, was apparently unsatisfied with the money Collins gave to him, and has now been charged with one count of robbery.

In regards to Collins’ mugging, Vancouver Police spokesperson Constable Howard Chow commented to CityTV.ca: “I’m to understand that (Jones) touts himself as a bit of a professional panhandler… He’s well known in the area and he is known to police.”

Comments such as these are not the first times that the media has tried to link ’social ills’ and violence.

Comments such as these? You mean, the facts of the case? The guy was known to cops, and had a history of this kind of behavior. That makes him a criminal.

But Toronto Councillor Michael Thompson, who claims he himself was the victim of an assault near Toronto City Hall last year, is calling for a complete city-wide ban on begging (in Toronto, aggressive panhandling is already illegal).

He claims to have been a victim. But he’s a rich white guy, so he can’t ever be a victim. Ever. Just like Ross Hammond. He deserved what he got, right? Oh, and by the way, shooting someone is also already illegal in Toronto, but that doesn’t stop the progressive left from adding gun law on top of gun law. Maybe we need a panhandler registry…

Similarly, Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan has launched Project Civil City, aimed at tackling ‘public disorder’ problems in time for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. In a press release describing the initiative, Sullivan lumps the scourge of panhandling in the same category as open drug use.

Actually, in many cases they are one in the same, but our narrator doesn’t bother to mention the drug addiction that leads many to the streets in the first place.

In another demeaning article, Toronto Star columnist Rosie DiManno suggests that the rights of panhandlers now trump the rights of ordinary citizens. She mocks homeless advocates who, in the aftermath of the [Ross] Hammond killing, called on the public not to lose sight of the socio-economic issues at play.

The whisper of sanity can barely be heard over the hysteria. Never mind that it has been repeatedly proven time and again that it is actually the poor who are more likely to be the victims of crime than the perpetrators.

Certainly the death of Hammond and the assault of Collins were tragic. But countless acts of violence - many fatal - are visited upon the urban poor every year.

Yup, very true. Usually homeless-on-homeless crime though. How come this isn’t mentioned in the article?

Oh, and my favorite part: Ms. Kraus has decided that a charge is the same as a conviction when it comes to the middle classes harming the quirky and beloved street folk.

Sadly, such reactions are all too rare. Consider the August 2005 death of a homeless Toronto man, Paul Croutch. Croutch was bludgeoned on the park bench upon which he regularly slept by three Canadian army reservists - an apparent case of homeless bashing. All three reservists are members of the Queen’s Own Rifles, based at Moss Park Armoury, and all were charged with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.

They have not been convicted. They may never be convicted. They may be innocent. But the law is applied differently to those for whom Ms. Kraus crusades. Had it been a homeless man who had beaten a reservist, Ms. Kraus would have screamed for due process and reminded us that all are innocent until proven guilty. But in this case, she is willing to be judge and jury, and convict these men in the progressive court of the left-wing press.

Toronto has a problem on it’s streets and in its ghettos where violence is too often overlooked in the search for “root causes”. It’s time to punish those who wreak violence on the population at large - and on each other - before this city becomes completely uninhabitable.

They don’t just spread their hate throughout the Middle East, and they don’t just hate those involved in the war in Iraq.

A man held for questioning in the murder of a father and daughter in California was upset with the family because they broke off his relationship with another daughter for religious reasons, court documents indicated.

Friends told the Orange County Register newspaper the victims were devoutly Hindu, and court papers said the religions in question were Hindu and Muslim.

Iftekhar Murtaza, 22, of Los Angeles was arrested on a fugitive warrant Saturday at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona, and was being held on Wednesday without bail.

The Hindu victims were stabbed, strangled, burned, and their bodies were left on a hiking trail outside Irvine, California.

[T]he girl’s mother, Leela Dhanak, 53, was found badly beaten and unconscious in a yard outside.

She was expected to recover.

Another daughter, Shayona, 18, was in her dormitory room at the University of California, Irvine, when the attack occurred and was placed under police protection.

This is the religion we let into our country day after day, and CAIR and others try to convince us that they’re just like us. They are not. They are brutal monsters, and the sooner we can abolish the religion of Islam the better. I do not need social reprogramming to become more tolerant - they do. Let’s rescue them from their disgusting sex/death cult. Maybe then they’ll have a chance to live side by side with other religions and cultures without resorting to murder.

In the meantime, though it shouldn’t need to be said, keep your goddam daughters away from these animals.
