I was raped when I was 14 years old, by a boy of 16. I was not drugged or sodomized - thank God - but it was still rape. Rape-rape.

I could not imagine what it would be like to be drugged and raped by a man of my father’s age. As it was, my parents were excellent at protecting me from all the weird uncles who populated my mother’s side of the family. The idea that one of them might have done that to me… unimaginable.

To be violated by an adult, a person of responsibility - a person of some acclaim - would be terrible. It would be like being touched in church, and not having your parents believe that Father O’Grady could ever do such a thing.

I do however know what it’s like to have my peers tell me it’s no big deal. That it shouldn’t matter. That it’s over, don’t raise a stink about it. Or, better yet: That he didn’t mean it.

This behavior has always baffled me. Why is it ok to be raped, just because the other person is older/stronger/richer/more famous than you are? Why do people stand up for the rapist, but not the raped?

What the hell is wrong with Whoopi Goldberg?

Roman Polanski left because he’s a guilty, cowardly rapist, Whoopi. A hundred years in jail, of being anally raped like that 13 year old girl was, would be just the thing for him.

I don’t see Whoopi as being a huge fan of cock - what if situations were reversed? How might she then feel about it?

If there’s a moral divide, you can bet your unraped anus that Hollywood will be standing on the wrong side.

When Catholics do it, it s nation-wide scandal that has to be apologized for over and over again, with money flowing out of the Vatican like it’s a damn ATM.

But when Muslims do it, it’s their freakin’ culture.

Yasser Mohamed Shahade, a prayer leader who had been in the country for about two months and had been staying at the mosque, sexually battered the victim [aged 13] about 6 a.m., police say. Women for procreation, young boys for pleasure. It’s in their Holy Book - why should we be surprised?

Suzanne decided to do a little digging into the previous speeches made by Sheik Akrama Sabri of the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, that Blazing Cat Fur and I had the ahem, pleasure, of hearing speak on Sunday night.

Suzanne translates a piece from Richard Martineau about the Sheik’s belief that a man who forces himself on his wife isn’t committing “rape”:

Brothers and sisters, it is no secret than in the West, it is permitted to have a mistress. There are even laws that allow for the imprisonment of men who force their wives to have sexual relations with them when they don’t want any! But if the man sleeps with his mistress, there is no problem.

Those are the laws of the West. A man is considered a rapist just because he slept with his wife against her will.

This is an issue that has been in the news in recent days, because Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s passing of a law that legalizes forced marital sex. For many years now, Karzai has been considered an ally and a so-called “moderate*” because of his openness to democracy and his cooperation with Western forces in Afghanistan. Yet on the subject of sexual subjugation of women, he is no different from the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, an Islamic hardliner.

*There is no such thing as a “moderate” Muslim. I can produce a Leprechaun for you before you can produce a “moderate” Muslim for me.

I have been planning this post since Wendy pointed me at the story. It has taken me all day to manage to format it my head in such a manner that I can get it down. I feel this aspect, this slice of time in terms of the events in Bombay India reveals such malice and horror, not just of deed but of agenda and thought that it requires me to once again desensitize myself beyond even what someone who writes daily on the atrocities of Muslims in the name of Islam do around the world on a daily basis.

Let’s start with what we all know. A group of well trained and well equipped Muslim terrorists from a few nations launched an operation out of Pakistan with the intention of murdering five thousand people. They fell short of that mark but that was the plan. They had prepared for this for some time in advance using a plan loosely based on a shelved one intended for use in New York called ‘Landmarks’, an Al Queada plan intended to wreak havoc and based on a design by Ramsey Yussef, the man who was the central figure of the first attack on New York’s WTC. We also all know that a Jewish community center was one of the targets of this operation. The idea was to kill jews. It should be noted that this building had no markings of a Jewish center. That it was far away from the other targets and that it had little or no strategic value but did require a significant percentage of the total resources available to the terrorist group to be used for this purpose. Had they not done this, and remember this was a very carefully planned and rehearsed operation, they would have inflicted a great deal more death and misery on the people of Bombay. Many of us, myself included perhaps may try and mitigate this as being some kind of act based on the existence of Israel or some kind of show of Palestinian sympathy. For a few reasons this is nonsense of course. Hatred and killing of Jews go back to Mohamed and these kinds of acts predate the existence of Israel by centuries.

What makes this so difficult to write, is the facts of how the Jews in that building where treated before they where killed. A couple of weeks ago I read an interview with the coroner who did the autopsies on these people and are the state coroners for terrorist attacks in India. From that page,

Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: “It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood,” one doctor said.

The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: “Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again,” he said.

I read this at the time and kind of dismissed it. Yes there was some shock value in the idea that a seasoned coroner who routinely (that itself is unfortunate) autopsied the bodies of terror victims found this particular incident and victims too horrifying to think about or describe. He objected to discussing it as that would make him have to think of it and he wasn’t prepared to do that.

Then today a photo of the victims with some description of what had been done to them was released. a blurred out one which itself is alarming in as much as today we are all so used to seeing image of violence that would have never made mass media in say, the 1980s or before. This one was so awful that they blurred most of it out. That the Jewish victims, preselected as such with great planning and expense, had been sexually tortured mutilated and humiliated.

Whats my point? That they felt the cost of this action was justified. This wasn’t a few guys on a private plan but this WAS the official plan. This was the intended effect. No politics, no demands, no leverage or bargaining but the sheer desire to torture humiliate and kill jews in ways that would defy the healthy imagination. Below I include that fuzzy picture and a link to some of the descriptions.

I suppose at this point I should advocate for something. An appeal to gods or a demand for state action. I do think any Jew alive today who does not own or have access to a firearm is self deluded but even that won’t help much.

Samuel Nana-Effah said allegations that he digitally penetrated the girl and had her perform oral sex before repeatedly engaging in intercourse with her while she was being babysat by his sister were “lies.”

According to Mr. Nana-Effah, he couldn’t have committed the acts because he would leave his sister’s house within 30 minutes to an hour of getting out of bed to go downtown and sell crack.

Mr. Nana-Effah testified he would typically wake up at 11:30 a.m. or noon and briefly leave his sister’s house to smoke marijuana.

Not this namby-pamby “assault” euphemism that it’s called today? Perhaps the reason sentences are so light is because we stopped using the offensive language to describe the heinous crimes.

I am taking this Toronto Star article and reprinting in full, to allow you to see just how much dancing around the facts is done to protect the easily offended, and how it ends up skewing the verdict and sentencing:

A young Mississauga man convicted yesterday of sexual assault disgraced himself and his family when he used his 16-year-old victim as his “personal plaything,” a judge said yesterday.

But by pleading guilty, Barton Reeder saved the girl from the pain of having to testify at a trial, Justice James Keaney said.

“I’m satisfied this was a one-time error in judgment, albeit of staggering proportions,” Keaney told Reeder, 19, before sentencing him in a Brampton courtroom to a 21-month conditional sentence, including house arrest for the first year.

Reeder pleaded guilty to one count of participating in a sexual assault with Philip Perry, also 19, an offence often described by police as a gang assault, in connection to an incident that occurred in the early hours of Feb. 25, 2007, at a Mississauga home.

Perry pleaded guilty to the same offence last month and received the same sentence.

Two youths remain before the court and appear headed for trial next year in connection with the case that attracted intense media and Facebook coverage when the arrests occurred.

The specific roles of the two convicted men — and the alleged participation by the youths – remain under a publication ban until evidence is presented at the youths’ trials.

Reeder, now attending college, refused to say anything before being sentenced.

But Keaney warned him he would be imprisoned if he broke any of the numerous court-ordered conditions imposed on him as well as on Perry previously.

The youths were 17 at the time of the incident. Their identities as well as the name of the victim remain protected by Canada’s youth laws along with any information that could lead to their identities.

Crown prosecutor Carrie Stoddart and Reeder’s lawyer Barry Fox yesterday submitted a joint submission on sentencing, which Keaney accepted.

At the time of the arrests, Peel police alleged the rape of the young girl had been videotaped on a cellphone and then shown to various students in the cafeteria of the victim’s high school.

Police also previously revealed that alcohol was involved and that the victim was unconscious and never knew she’d been sexually assaulted until the video of the incident surfaced at the school.

Following the first year of house arrest, Reeder will be under a strict 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew for the remaining nine months.

He can leave home for one hour, three times each week for physical activity and three hours each weekend for personal shopping.

He can also leave for employment, school and health reasons.

He must also attend counselling and perform 100 hours of community service.

Perry is attending university so his house arrest is served in his dormitory, court previously heard.

Both were ordered to submit DNA samples. Their names have been put on Ontario’s sexual assault registry.

Disgusting. The gang-RAPE of a young girl is euphemized beyond recognition, till it sounds as if she merely had her pigtails pulled in the schoolyard. Her RAPE is videotaped and broadcast, further humiliating her. And her RAPISTS get house arrest and counseling? Heck, why don’t they just get a slap on the back from the boys club, and a cool “Atta boy!”?

Justice James Keaney must not have children, or must be a bit of a sadist himself, to take this so lightly. A “one-time error in judgment”?? A girl was gang-RAPED! He is neither “Honourable” nor “Just” for these actions he has taken in punishing RAPISTS. And for the Crown to be party to this sentencing request means that this girl never had anyone on her side.

The law is an ass if we have asses practicing it. Whatever happened to lynchings, anyway?

A blond girl is raped by two North Africans in a busy railway station. Nobody stops to help. Nobody. Disgusting.

Goats, sheep, little girls… these big manly Muslim men will go after anyone or anything they think won’t raise a fuss. Such kindness. Such compassion.

And in other Religion of Peaceâ„¢ news, the “Youths” are at it again.

Lille - Dozens of French youths clashed with police in a town in northeast France overnight, burning cars during a rampage triggered by the killing of a 22-year-old man, an official said on Sunday.

Erm, but the man wasn’t killed by the cops. He was murdered. But hey, any excuse for a riot, right?

The violence started around 22:00 (20:00 GMT) after the 22-year-old man was gunned down in Vitry-le-Francois. A suspect was arrested overnight.

“This started out as a murderous settling of scores,” said Nicolas Comte of the SGP-FO police union.

“But quickly this tragic event prompted a violent group to attack police with baseball bats and molotov cocktails as young bystanders watched passively, like spectators to the ‘riot show’,” said Comte.

Having read this clarification, I trust you will concede that Islam provides the perfect, most humane, system of Law, and Mohammad (P etc etc) raised women higher than men, and honoured them even though they are dirty and must be kept from manly gaze and are only worth half of a man.

I have said before that Islam should be declassified as a religion and classed as a cult instead. It is a cult of sex and death, going back to its inception. How anyone can read peace into this is beyond me.

A young Christian woman was kidnapped, raped and forced to convert to Islam by a Muslim man in Faisalabad, Khalil Tahir, chairman of “Adal Trust,” a free legal aid organisation that helps minorities, told AsiaNews.

According to early reports, 18-year-old Razia went to visit her aunt on October 21 but never came home. Her parents went out looking for her but to no avail. They also contacted a Muslim man, Sajid, who had harassed her in the past, but he denied any knowledge of her whereabouts.

Razia did eventually make it home on October 31 in a state of shock. She told her parents that Sajid had abducted her, repeatedly raped her and forced her to convert to Islam. She is currently under medical care.

“The girl’s father went to the police to file a complaint on the evening of Razia’s return, but they were reluctant to register the case fearing that it might get out of proportion because of its religious element,” Khalil Tahir told AsiaNews.

I wonder if this means that, now that she’s a Muslim, will she be stoned to death for extramarital sex?

May Dog forgive me.

Let me be clear: I think dog fighting is reprehensible, and that in a mob-justice system, Michael Vick would be disemboweled. But to my knowledge, last time I looked we didn’t have a vigilante justice system. And when it comes to the “beautiful people”, like rock stars, actors, socialites and sports icons, we barely have any type of justice at all.

Michael Vick endangered the lives of dogs - man’s best friend. We get all warm and squishy when we think of our childhood pal Fido or Rover (or in my case, Valentine). And our anger at a “monster” like Vick becomes palpable.

Vick has been suspended indefinitely from the Atlanta Falcons, disgraced. Dog lovers and animal rights groups would like to kill him. His co-defendants copped a plea, and he will now plead guilty himself. And he’d better hope the judge doesn’t have a dog.

Am I the only one who thinks this “kill Vick” mentality is a little overblown? Where were these activists and outraged do-gooders when Kobe Bryant was on trial for rape? Or when Mike Tyson was beating the snot out of Robin Givens or chewing on Hollyfield’s ear? Heck, Barry Bonds probably didn’t even know he was in the ballpark when he hit his history-making homer. What makes the pit bulls more important than a rape victim? Have we really sunk so low that we place the lives of dogs before the lives of humans?

I’m not saying - like some celebrities in past days have done - that Vick should get away with what he has done. I’m just suggesting that perhaps we should try to have a little perspective. We cry rivers of grief when gang-banging rappers are shot in the street - we never stop to ask what they did to deserve it. Why are we so quick to condemn Vick?

Cut the guy a little slack - he wasn’t a drug pusher, he didn’t rape or kill anyone. He hurt and killed some dogs. Disgusting and criminal? Yes. Worth all this misplaced fury? No way.
